The QRisk Vision - a safer world, one client at a time.
Our story so far
It started in 2011 with a simple vision of creating a safer world, one client at a time. Personal and workplace safety & security harm comes in all forms from what you can encounter in the everyday, to terrorising catastrophic events. We know - we have lived, trained for and worked through quite a number of them.
We believe that there is a better way to prepare and respond to harm than layering on more rules, providing superficial protection, ignoring the heart of the risk or putting everything through the complicator.
Our team come from different fields of expertise, bringing with it diversity and strength in service delivery. From our work in the Police, conflict zones, international personal protection, workplace and criminal investigations, workplace bullying prevention to aggressive customers, our common bond is empowering, educating and supporting people in safety, security and resilience.
We calmly approach investigations, safety & security risks and protection with simplicity & pragmatism. We love what we do, and we love helping our clients become more resilient. We want our clients to live life, travel, work and play knowing that their engagement with QRisk has made them safer and more awareness savvy in a changing world.
A safer world one client at a time - from investigating wrongdoing, to safeguarding you and your family, to providing security subject matter expertise and advice – QRisk is founded on our values of trust, alignment and confidence.

He prides himself in delivering training in a way that is engaging and has an ability to build trust and confidence with the audience in a very short period of time. He takes his role as a trainer of particular skills and drills in what can be confronting environments very seriously - but himself not so much.
Lance Kennedy - Trainer | Investigator
Lance is a licensed private investigator with extensive senior and executive level leadership experience. This includes 26 years with NZ Police, and executive leadership roles with central and local government organisations.
His point of difference, drawn from experience, is his ability to identify at those very early stages the best strategy for the investigation to follow – he understands investigative process while having honed instincts in terms of knowing who to talk to, what they need to talk about, and most importantly, when to talk to them. His results speak for themselves with numerous employment investigations completed and the right outcomes being achieved in a matter of weeks, not months or years at huge costs, as is often the case.
Lance is also an experienced public speaker and had led discussions and training sessions across a range of different activities for several organisations.

Our Values
Trust
We aim to build trust with our clients quickly. We think it is the highest value you can have. Part of that trust is developed by listening and understanding your needs, communicating openly and delivering the outcome. What we say we will do. You can trust that.
Alignment
Alignment in thinking and values is key. We don't necessarily need to agree on all matters and healthy challenge is good - but alignment in desired outcomes is necessary. We like to work with people that think this same way.
Confidence
We aim to provide confidence to our clients quickly. This is not through waffle and false statements of expertise and bravado, it is through delivery of a high-impact consultancy where we take our work seriously.
